Academics

Joining a sorority in college is a life-changing experience, but garnering an education is the top priority for Kappa. This is why each chapter is expected to maintain academic standards equal to or higher than their university’s or college’s all-sorority GPA. Additionally, each chapter establishes a GPA requirement for active members. 

If a Kappa struggles academically, we help her through it. The Academic Excellence Team meets with her to craft an improvement plan using study tactics and time management. We want each sister to leave college with what they came for: a degree.

Here at Gamma Chi, we strive to balance work and play. We are dedicated to our academics, and always make time in our busy schedules to study. We are constantly improving our personal standards for academic excellence. Our strong dedication to academics is reflected in our overall GPA which is equivalent with the overall Greek GPA. 

To help our sisters achieve their academic goals, our VP of Academic Excellence offers group study sessions around campus where she welcomes the chapter to join her for study time! She also coordinates free tutors and academic support for sisters. Kappa Kappa Gamma also offers an impressive selection of study materials and access to tutors. In addition, we have academic dinners and small groups designed to allow younger sisters to learn from the academic experiences of our juniors and seniors!

In order to award our sisters for all their hard work, we offer encouraging mementos like finals goody bags, and prizes for sister’s “A’s” as well as highest GPA.
